Exercise of the month (06/2002)


POWER THROW 2 - HIP FLEXORS
(hip flexors, abdominals)

                                                    

 

1- Start with medicine-ball between your ankles.
2- Jump by lifting your legs up (keep your leg straight) to throw the MD-ball straight up in the air.
3- Make a good arms movement, by keeping your elbow at 90° angle, to get more height.
4- Get the ball back and repeat.

- Beginners can do the same movement without the ball.
- More advance athletes could start the projection from the hip with a slight forward jump.
